Chrome plating

Includes hard chrome, decorative chrome, black chrome, and triple chrome plating, compliant with common standards. Key features of this process include low concentration of chromic acid, excellent throwing power, and ease of application. Additionally, new chrome-free plating processes are ready for customer deployment.

– SLOTOCHROM HROM DC 1540 Bright Chrome

The CR1540 process is used for bright chrome plating, characterized by its simple maintenance and notably low concentration of chromic acid. In addition to its benefits in wastewater neutralization, this solution boasts exceptional throwing power that distinguishes it from other common high-chromic acid plating baths.

– SLOTOCHROM S1 Hard Chrome

The SLOTOCHROM S hard chrome plating process is based on a mixture of acids and fluoride. It features simple maintenance, uniform coverage, and appropriate chrome growth rate. The bath is formulated using chromic acid, a small amount of sulfuric acid, and the SLOTOCHROM S1 additive, allowing for easy control of the chrome bath through solution analysis.

– Wetting Agent FT 248 Chrome Anti-Mist

A stable surface-active agent designed for use in chromium (VI) electrolytes, Wetting Agent FT 248 significantly reduces the visible concentration of chrome mist caused by drag-out from chromium electrolytes. Quickly added to the chrome bath, it forms a thick layer on the bath’s surface to prevent the spread of chrome vapors.

– SLOTOCHROM 70 Black Chrome

The SLOTOCHROM 70 black chrome plating process is designed for decorative black chrome coatings without chromium (VI) oxide. It is based on triple chrome compounds. The resulting chrome coating is highly bright and resembles the finish obtained from chromium (VI) solutions. It exhibits superior throwing power compared to chromium (VI) solutions, provides uniform metal distribution, and rarely requires auxiliary anodes, even on parts with complex geometries. Moreover, unlike typical chrome plating solutions, there is no need to fill holes and gaps before plating.

-SLOTOCHROM BC4130 Chrome-Free Plating Process

The SLOTOCHROM BC4130 process is used for decorative chrome plating based on trivalent chromium, free from chromic acid, PFOS (perfluorooctanesulfonic acid), PFT (polyfluoroalkyl compounds), and ammonium. As a result, significant improvements have been made in safety, health, and environmental issues. Additionally, there is no need for a hexavalent chromium neutralization system. The chrome coating produced by this process is bright and visually very similar to chrome coatings created by conventional methods using hexavalent chromium-containing electrolytes.

Coatings with a maximum thickness of 3.0 microns can be deposited from this solution. Consequently, their number compared to previous processes has been reduced, making working with the solution much easier. In terms of coverage and throwing power, this solution is superior to chromium plating based on chromic acid, leading to significantly more uniform metal distribution. This electrolyte is resistant to coating burn in areas with high current density. Auxiliary anodes and current shields are rarely needed. Even when plating parts with complex geometries, there is no need to fill holes and other part features that require chrome plating using this method.
