Plating Tanks
The use of suitable plating tanks is of paramount importance, considering their design and geometric shape, the type of raw materials, and their compatibility with the plating conditions, as well as the shape of the parts being plated and the type of coating.
Considering the high demand from owners of plating industries and the industry’s need for tanks aligned with those currently used in advanced countries, Iran Electronic Board Company, with technical support from Schlötter Germany, embarked on establishing a production unit for polypropylene (PP) tanks and containers in Iran for the first time in 2003. They utilized high-quality raw materials, modern equipment, and Extrusion welding technology, adhering to the DVS 2212 standard.
All consumables in the tank manufacturing sector are sourced from top European companies, including SIMONA from Germany for materials and WEGENER from Germany for welding equipment. With the collaboration and technical support of these companies, along with the backing of Schlötter Germany, the manufacturing process ensures high-quality standards and reliability.
Calculations related to the design of tanks are carried out according to the standards of the German Welding Society (DVS), and relevant software is utilized for this purpose.
All tanks manufactured undergo non-destructive inspection and testing using inspection equipment before being delivered to the customer.
So far, more than 5000 tanks of various dimensions up to 14 meters in length and 50 cubic meters in volume have been manufactured and delivered to customers.
Chemical Stability:
These tanks and containers are resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and alcohols, even at high temperatures.
However, it should be noted that these tanks and containers will not withstand strong oxidizing agents such as chromic acid, nitric acid, and halogens. Therefore, for such applications, the use of PVC tanks is recommended.

Chemical resistance:
These tanks and containers are resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and alcohols, even at high temperatures. Additionally, they are resistant to oils, greases, and waxes (although prolonged contact with these substances may cause slight swelling, which will not affect their functionality).
It should be noted that these tanks and containers are not resistant to strong oxidizing agents such as chromic acid, nitric acid, and halogens. Therefore, for such applications, the use of PVC tanks is recommended.

The tank is PVC :
The suitable temperature range: The continuous operating temperature of polypropylene sheets is in the range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. However, in the case of PP-DWU type (sheets used in the construction of plating tanks in this company), this range is 0 to 95 degrees Celsius.
The crystalline melting temperature of 160PP sheets is in degrees Celsius.
